Fdl have signed up to become a Dementia Friend. As a Dementia Friend it means we as a company are committed to learning about dementia so that we can play a role in helping the communities in which we work. Being a Dementia Friend is about taking action, be it big or small, to take positive steps to support people who may need it.
Lee Walker, Managing Director at fdl commented,
“through our work and in our personal lives many of the team and I meet people living with dementia. We have witnessed first hand what it can mean. Customer care is at the heart of what we do – and sometimes customer care means stopping what we are doing to take some time to chat wtih our customers, to explain and remind them who we are and what we are doing, to be patient and to offer them the reassurance they may need.
Fdl work with a number of local authorities to improve the homes of people, many of whom have additional health needs, therefore it is essential our team have the people skills to work with customers in their homes, and know they have our total support to take the care and time customers need.”
