Fdl were appointed to take on this exciting project to transform a piece of unused land. Works involved the construction of a ‘Log Cabin Village’ in a space of un-used ground behind Werrington Library. The project consisted of two therapy lodges and a third lodge providing a disabled and dementia friendly toilet, all set in a landscaped garden complete with lawn & patio entered through a Rose Arch.
FDL delivered the whole project which consisted of design, all groundworks, utilities provision, building construction and fit out including specialist disabled and dementia friendly facilities, décor, flooring, and all external finishes as well as landscaping.
This was a really special project to be part of, to transform a piece of land into 3 lodges which will be used for activities by the Werrington Centre for people with mental ill-health, learning difficulties, physical and sensory disabilities. Construction for people with disabilities is our speciality and something we care deeply about. I’m really proud of the team and feedback we have had from the client. – FDL
